meet the Coaches

Our qualified coaches have a combined history of coaching experience, including specialties in hitting, fielding, pitching, catching and more. Our staff includes:

Cesar Lopez: Cesar is the current head coach for Florida Prepatory Academy in Melbourne, FL. Cesar was signed at the age of 14 to the "Marichar" baseball program and was later signed with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Ricardo Ayala: Ricardo is a former Division I Baseball Player with Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. He has been coaching with Prime 9 since May of 2014. Ricardo's passion is to teach young baseball players the fundamentals of the games and how to think smart while enjoying this great game.

Chris Sprankle: Chris joined the Prime 9 Coaching staff in October of 2016, his passion and love for the game is apparent to all that interact with him on the field.

Paul Winslow: Paul is a former Division I football player at UNC-Chapel Hill. However his broad interest for sports in general along with his son's interest in baseball has gravitated him to this coaching position. Paul takes great pride in assisting young athletes develop not only physically but helping them to understand the importance of establishing a strong educational foundation. Paul joined the Prime 9 Coaching Staff in February 2017.
